Clients and commissions
Matt has enjoyed working on a variety of projects for clients including; Honda, The Independent, Specsavers, Oxford University Press and the record label Ninja Tune. His animation for the music video ‘Hometime’ by One EskimO won him a British Animation Award in 2008. Matt has also been featured in the design magazine ‘Computer Arts’ and has recently launched a new app for the iPhone and iPod Touch called Forest Folk.
Inspiration and influences
Matt’s love of drawing started at an early age, but was truly awakened in the mid 80’s by the British comic book artists of 2000AD and the Japanese Manga artists. This new-found interest coincided with the arrival of the graffiti scene, through which he discovered American underground comic book artists including Vaughn Bode, Robert Crumb and Rick Griffin. All of whom inspire him to this day.
